    About Me

My experience caring for my aunt, who battled a challenging health condition, deeply shaped my passion for senior care. I witnessed her daily struggles and the emotional toll it took on our family, which inspired me to become more involved in supporting both patients and caregivers. Providing care for her taught me compassion, patience, and the importance of dignity in every stage of life.

This experience motivated me to learn more about the condition, contribute to research efforts for prevention and cure, and advocate for better support systems for seniors. I am dedicated to helping reduce the suffering of older adults and easing the burden on families and caregivers who devote themselves to their loved ones’ well-being.

Through my work and continued involvement, I hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and promote awareness, empathy, and improved care within our communities.

    About Me

Hi, I’m Donnalyn. My work in supporting people affected by dementia began with my own family’s journey. My mom — a dedicated school principal and lifelong teacher — was diagnosed with dementia early on. At first, we chalked her unusual moments up to aging, but things changed quickly after my dad, her high-school sweetheart, passed away in 2021.

In the months that followed, her dementia advanced fast. She moved through different eras of her life — childhood, college, her early teaching years — and she always searched for my dad. We learned to meet her in whatever time she believed she was in, telling stories to comfort her and help her feel safe. It was emotional, challenging, and at times unexpectedly humorous. She passed away in 2022 at age 93.

Walking through that journey with her reshaped my purpose. Today, I’m dedicated to helping families face dementia with more clarity, compassion, and confidence — offering the kind of understanding and support I wish we had from the very start.

If you’re caring for someone with dementia, you don’t have to navigate it alone. We are  here to help.
